Description
Job Summary:
A registered nurse position in the endoscopy lab located in San Francisco, California. This role involves providing specialized patient care within outpatient endoscopy centers, performing numerous clinical procedures, and supporting interdisciplinary teams. Candidates must bring their California Registered Nurse (RN) license on the first day of employment, and have a minimum of two years of experience, including over one year in outpatient endoscopy centers.
Job Details:
- Location: San Francisco, California
- Schedule: 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, start date 07/21/2026
- Required Qualifications: California RN license, BSN degree, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, minimum of 2 years of experience with more than 1 year in outpatient endoscopy centers.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, trauma level I or II experience, and outpatient/endoscopy center experience.
- Additional Information:
- Float: Float rotation may be required to other UCSF Endoscopy sites.
- Teaching hospital experience is required.
- Understanding and performing procedures such as conscious sedation administration, airway management, colonoscopy, ERCP, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS).
- EMR system used: Epic.
- Completion of references must be ready at time of submission, with two references from the most recent employer.
- Vaccinations: COVID-19 vaccination and booster are required, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons. Flu vaccine status is unknown.
- Employment history must include all positions with UC facilities, with start/end dates, units worked, and manager names for rehire eligibility.
