Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) registered nursing position located in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment with a census of up to 180 patients per day. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Arlington Heights, Illinois
• Schedule: 12-hour days, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 07/05/2026
• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, License Requirements, and Years of Experience: Illinois Licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), with 3-5 years of ER experience
• Preferred but not required: Emergency Critical Care Registered Nurse (ECRN) in Region 9, experience with Epic electronic medical record system (minimal time off in July, no time off in August due to Go-Live)
• Additional information: The ER handles a variety of patient cases, including many strokes and critically ill pediatric patients from multiple nursing homes; approximately 10 beds per team, with the facility having 44 rooms. Team support is structured with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:6 (triage area).
