Registered Nurse – ER

Facility: Blessing Hospital
Location: Quincy, IL

Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 4x12-Hour (48 Hours/Week) (Facility will also consider 3x12 / 36 Hours)
Charting System: EPIC
Float Required: Yes, within hospital as needed
Note: Fast-paced Emergency Department. Level I Trauma experience is helpful.

Position Overview:

The ER RN will provide emergency nursing care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and trauma. The nurse will perform rapid assessments, stabilize patients, administer treatments and medications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure timely and effective emergency care.

Job duties:

1. Perform rapid patient assessments and triage in the Emergency Department.
2. Monitor and manage patients with acute and critical conditions.
3. Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as ordered.
4. Assist with trauma resuscitations and emergency procedures.
5. Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
6. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
7. Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
8. Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
9. Maintain compliance with emergency care protocols and patient safety standards.

Requirements:

Licensure: Active Illinois RN License

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced Emergency Department preferred

Certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS
• TNCC
