Job Summary:
The position of Nurse Educator within the Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is based in Ithaca, New York. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing educational programs, including orientation and ongoing training for Maternal Child Health staff. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.

Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing; Masters Degree in Nursing Education preferred; Current NYS RN license; Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Minimum of 5 years experience in Maternal Child Health nursing; Strong written and oral communication skills; Core II (assuming core certification in all relevant areas of the department); Proficient computer skills.
Additional Information: The position entails coordinating and overseeing educational activities, including training on new equipment, processes, and procedures; conducting drills and skills days; acting as a point person for new products and troubleshooting; interfacing with bioengineering and biomedical departments for equipment issues; and assisting with clinical coverage during busy or short-staffed periods.
