Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Operating Room Pediatrics Only is sought for a facility located in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves working day and evening 12-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, primarily between 0700 and 1930 hours. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. The role entails providing specialized pediatric perioperative care, supporting a wide range of surgical procedures, and ensuring patient safety and quality care in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Madison, WI
- Schedule: Day/Eve, 12-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 0700 - 1930 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: WI RN or compact RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty they are submitting to
- Certifications: BLS, PALS
- Experience: Two years of acute care experience within the last three years in Operating Room Pediatrics Only
- Additional Information:
- Skill set includes administration of blood and blood products, various pediatric surgical procedures, and use of specialized equipment such as Arthroscopes, Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, and Fiber optic light sources.
- Passing a strict pass/fail telemetry exam with two attempts is required prior to start; the exam includes identification of lethal rhythms and questions regarding heart blocks.
- The candidate must have the ability to float as needed; local rule requires candidates to be at least 50 miles from the facility.
- Flu vaccination is required; the influenza vaccine must be administered unless medical or religious exemptions are granted.
- No references are required with submission.
