Description

Job Summary:
A travel nurse specializing in Emergency Department care is needed at a healthcare facility in Presque Isle, Maine. The position involves providing urgent and comprehensive emergency care to diverse patient populations, including neonates to geriatrics. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Presque Isle, Maine
  • Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
  • Schedule: Traditional nursing staffing includes two 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shifts, two 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shifts, two 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. shifts, and one 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. shift. ED technician hours are 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 4 a.m.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and state licensure. Education requirements include a minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing, with a background in EKGs, IV starts, TNKase administration, nebulizer treatments, initiating Bipap, suture removal, assisting with casting, vent management. Experience with charting in FirstNet EMR system is necessary.
  • Preferred Qualifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications are preferred.
  • Additional Information: Scrub color can be any professional color; hospital scrubs are available but not mandatory. There is an onsite locker/changing room and gym access. Holiday shifts are as needed.
