Description

Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) Nurse position is based in Santa Rosa, California. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care within a variety of surgical specialties including orthopedics, urology, general surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, podiatry, and pain management. Candidates are required to bring their California nursing license on the first day. The position offers mainly day shifts with variable scheduling, and candidates should be prepared for the possibility of floating between facilities as needed.

  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
  • Required Qualifications: California state nursing license (pending license accepted), 1 year perioperative experience, CPR/BLS certification, Epic charting experience, excellent procedural knowledge in various surgical specialties, valid SSN, DOB, and RTO documentation at the time of submission
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specific charting experience in OR procedures, two references covering one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years
  • Additional Information: Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby your contracted facility. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Willingness to work two out of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) is required.
  • Certifications: BLS certification required
  • Experience: 1 year in perioperative or surgical setting
  • Schedule: Mainly 8:30 AM shifts with primarily day hours; variable shifts also possible
  • Travel and Compliance: RTO restrictions of no more than 7 days; SSN, DOB, and RTO must be included at time of submission; references required covering the last 3 years; candidate must be willing to float within nearby facilities
