Job Summary:
The Oncology and Women's Surgical Nursing specialty position is located in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing care on a medical surgical oncology floor within a 24-bed unit. The position requires collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals during night shifts, delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Asheville, NC
• Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license (RN), BLS certification; 1 year of clinical experience required; location in North Carolina preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Chemo certification; experience with procedures such as pelvic exams, echo, or thoracentesis is beneficial
• Additional Information: The unit incorporates standard equipment and utilizes the Cerner electronic medical record system. Staff are expected to be team players with a willingness to learn. Basic hospital policies and guidelines are in place. RNs are expected to adhere to a dress code of navy, white, or a combination of both colors. The unit rarely requires staff to float to other medical-surgical units. The position involves working six weekend days per schedule.
