Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) nurse position in Saint Augustine, Florida. This role involves working on a cardiovascular stepdown ICU/unit providing critical care to adult patients. The position requires candidates to bring their license on the first day and is scheduled for night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week. The assignment begins on 07/20/2026 and concludes on 10/17/2026.

Job Details:

• Location: Saint Augustine, FL

• Schedule: Unit scheduled, no self-scheduling, with variable weekend and holiday requirements
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of clinical experience, 2 years of specialty experience, valid certifications including BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and an active license.

• Float Requirement: Yes, floating to ICU, Stepdown/PCU, and Med-Surg units as needed.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Patient Care Modality: Critical care with patient ratios approximately 1:1 to 4:1 depending on unit needs.
• Support Staff: CNAs / PCTs (2 per shift), Unit Clerk / Secretary (1 per shift), additional staff (68 per shift), 12 advanced practitioners daily.
• Procedures and Protocols: Vasopressors, EKGs, sheath management, post-open heart surgery care.
• Equipment Experience: Ventilators, vasopressor management, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump.
• Travel and Agency Notes: Prior travel experience required with at least 2 previous assignments; candidate must be willing to float and follow applicable hospital policies.
• Additional Information: No teaching experience required, trauma level 1, no RTO during first 2 weeks, maximum of 8 days RTO for 13-week contract.
• Compliance & Onboarding: FL AHCA processing may take up to 14 business days; vaccination requirements include seasonal influenza with exemptions available.
