Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized care on a medical surgical oncology floor, supporting patients with cancer treatment needs, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes. The position is scheduled for night shifts, with a commitment of at least 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Location: Asheville, NC
- Address: 509 Biltmore Avenue
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
- Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week minimum
- Required Qualifications: License (RN), Basic Life Support (BLS), 1 year of experience in healthcare or related field
- Preferred Qualifications: Chemo Certification, experience with pelvic exams, echo, thoracentesis, team player, willing to learn
- Float: Float rotation may be required to other medical-surgical units
- Additional Information: The unit has 24 beds with a staff of 42, including RNs, CNAs, and a Clinical Nurse Coordinator. The team operates within standard hospital policies, with occasional weekend and on-call shifts. The role requires adherence to uniform guidelines: RNs in navy, white, or a combination; CNAs in Galaxy Blue.
