Description

Job Summary:
This outpatient Medical Surgical Oncology (MS ONC) position is located in Issaquah, Washington. The role involves supporting chemotherapy infusion and outpatient oncology care within a busy clinic environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position offers a schedule of either five 8-hour shifts or four 9-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, and requires prior experience in acute care med surge oncology settings.

Job Details:

  • Location: Issaquah, WA
  • Position: Medical Surgical Oncology Floor (MS ONC)
  • Shift: 5x8s (8:30am-5:00pm) or 4x9s (8:00am-5:30pm) with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Oncology Certification (OCN) previous charge experience, 1 year of oncology experience, and community hospital EMR experience.
  • Additional Qualifications: Skills in accessing/managing ports, administration of chemotherapy and blood products, managing cytotoxic spills, and recognizing abnormal lab values. Experience with inpatient and outpatient oncology, chemo infusion, PICC line care, and monitoring chemotherapy is essential.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Outpatient oncology experience with extensive chemo background.
  • Patient Care Details: Outpatient oncology patients receiving chemotherapy infusion, with a daily census of approximately 30 patients, in a unit with 12 beds and 12 rooms.
  • References: Two references covering 1 year (6 months for CNA) within the last 3 years, during the compliance process and prior to start.
  • Vaccinations: Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required.
  • Additional Notes: All Swedish facilities honor active compact licenses. No weekend or call responsibilities are associated with this assignment.
