Job Summary:
Geriatric Medical Surgical Nurse is needed at a long-term care facility located in Harmony, Minnesota. This position involves providing specialized nursing care on a geriatric and medical-surgical unit, with a variety of shifts including 8-hour and 12-hour day and evening hours. The assignment is slated to commence on August 24, 2026, for a duration of 13 weeks, offering flexibility in scheduling to meet operational needs.

Job Details:

• Location: Harmony, Minnesota
• Position: Medical Surgical Geriatric Floor Nurse
• Schedule: 8/12-hour shifts, generally day or evening, with rotating shifts (must be flexible)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 08/24/2026
• Certifications: Minnesota RN License & AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Education: Associate Degree or Certificate
• Experience: 2+ years RN experience, 1 year in long-term care, with medication passing experience
• Charting Experience: Matrix charting preferred
• COVID Vaccine: Required (exemptions considered)
• Unit Information: 43-bed long-term care and clinic unit; night shift staffing includes 1 nurse and 2 CNAs. Day/evening shifts include a charge nurse for treatments, PRN, and medications, along with additional staff passing medications.
• Float Requirements: Will be required to float to a different location 25 miles away as needed
• Shift Notes: Shifts involve varied hours with primary focus on afternoon/evening coverage.
• Additional Information: Candidate must initiate medical compliance within 48 hours of offer acceptance (24 hours for quick start). Flexibility required for shift changes, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
