Description
Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry (TELE) is sought for a 13-week contract position at a healthcare facility located in Austin, Texas. The role involves providing specialized care on a surgical oncology unit with a capacity of 34 beds, utilizing age-appropriate considerations for a diverse patient population. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Austin, Texas
- Department: Surgical Oncology, 6-South
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, alternating between 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Schedule: Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Chemotherapy Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, Med/Surg experience, familiarity with MediTech electronic medical records (EMR), candidates must have zero years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Chemotherapy Certification, ACLS certification, Med/Surg experience, outgoing and team-oriented personality to fit the units culture.
- Additional Information: The unit has received recognition including 1 ICARE Award and 3 Daisy Awards. It provides modified total patient care for general medical, surgical, and surgical oncology patients, with capabilities for 24-hour cardiac telemetry monitoring.
- Patient Population Served: Young adults (18-25), early adults (25-40), middle adults (40-60), later adults (60-75), and seniors over 75.
