Description

Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for an outpatient oncology setting in Edmonds, Washington. The position involves providing specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients, with a focus on radiation therapy treatments. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment. This role is scheduled to start as soon as possible and offers flexible shift options to accommodate either 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with no weekends.

Job Details:

  • Location: Edmonds, WA
  • Schedule: 5x8s or 4x10s, Monday-Friday, no weekends; 8-hour shifts (0700-1500 or 1400-2200) or 10-hour shifts (0700-1700)
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum of 3 years oncology experience; travel experience; certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); experience with Epic electronic medical record system
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with radiation therapy procedures such as External Beam Radiation Therapy (Teletherapy), Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), and Palliative Radiation Therapy; knowledge of oncology patient care and radiation safety precautions
  • Additional Information:
    • The role involves managing adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient oncology environment.
    • Must have experience with complex oncology symptoms and procedures, including tumor lysis syndrome, skin and mucous membrane alterations, and management of medication side effects.
    • Certifications and references are required prior to start, with two references covering the past 12 months (6 months for CNAs).
