Description

Job Summary:
The job opportunity is for a Clinical Nurse specializing in the Cardiac Interventional Unit located in New York, NY. This position involves providing high-quality patient care based on nursing theory, research, and organizational standards. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: New York, NY
  • Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL)
  • Shift Hours: 11.5 hours per shift, day shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with no weekends required
  • Schedule: 34.5 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: NY State Registered Nurse (RN) License; BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); minimum 2 years of telemetry and CCL experience; at least 2 years of RN experience; 1 year travel experience for travel positions (not required for Per Diem); EPIC experience highly preferred; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, associate degree only with relevant experience or active BSN program enrollment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Cardiac Interventional Unit, proficiency with EPIC electronic health records, and prior travel nursing experience.

Additional Information:

  • Prior experience in a Telemetry and Cardiac Catheterization Lab is required.
  • The unit has an average census of 2 labs and 5 beds.
  • The position includes performing charge nurse duties and coordinating patient throughput and resource utilization.
  • The role emphasizes clinical skills, patient safety, quality improvement, and interprofessional collaboration.
  • Candidates should demonstrate caring, respect, compassion, and active listening in patient interactions and team environments.
