Job Summary:
Gastroenterology Laboratory Procedural Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Highland Park, Illinois. This role involves assisting physicians during gastrointestinal (GI) and endoscopy procedures within a busy GI Lab environment. Candidates must bring their Illinois licensure on the first day. This position requires Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience and a minimum of two years of experience in GI Lab, Endoscopy, or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Job Details:

• Location: Highland Park, Illinois
• Schedule: 8-hour day shift, starting between 6:30 AM and 9:00 AM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, Epic EMR experience, at least 2 years of GI Lab, Endoscopy, PACU, Admission, and Recovery experience, and the ability to pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher on the first day.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical-surgical telehealth, preoperative and postoperative care, proficiency with Olympus scopes and endoscopy supplies from major manufacturers.
• Additional Information: Typical case volume ranges from 30 to 60 cases per day, with equipment including Olympus scopes and diverse endoscopy supplies. The role may require floating to facilities in Skokie, Evanston, and Glenbrook. No weekend work is required. Orientation occurs on Mondays, and credentials are due the Thursday before start date.
