Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to Emergency Department patients utilizing the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

Location: Carlsbad, NM
Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Contractor Replacement
Shift: Days, 6:30 am - 6:00 pm
Hours per Week: Minimum of 36 hours
Duration: 13 weeks, starting 07/27/2026
Number of Positions: 1
Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) required
Experience: 2+ years experience required
EMR System: MedHost (EDIS)
Additional Information: Fingerprints for all travelers are required. Call out minimum 2 hours prior to shift start. No. of positions: 1, with seasonal consideration based on department needs. Floating is required.
Other Details: The role involves thorough patient assessments, medication administration, effective communication, and adherence to safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
