Job Summary:
The position of Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) is located in Billings, Montana. Candidates are responsible for performing scrub duties, maintaining sterile supplies and techniques, and supporting surgical teams during operative procedures. The role involves assisting with instrument preparation, ensuring environmental safety, and responding appropriately to emergency situations. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Billings, MT
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, four 9-hour shifts per week, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program or graduation from a non-accredited surgical tech program within the past six months (not eligible for Tech in Surgery exam), or two years of scrub tech experience in hospital or military surgical services within the last three years. Valid BLS (CPR) certification for healthcare providers.
• Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year OR scrubbing experience or one (1) year clinical experience in an accredited hospital.
• Responsibilities include maintaining a sterile environment, assisting during surgeries, preparing and cleaning surgical instruments and rooms, monitoring safety protocols, and participating in emergency responses.
• Additional notes: May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications, and may be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
