Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Anchorage, Alaska. The role involves providing perioperative patient care in a busy surgical environment, supporting a wide variety of surgical procedures, and ensuring compliance with facility standards. Candidates are required to bring their Alaska RN license on the first day of assignment. The assignment is scheduled to start on 07/27/2026, with a shift schedule of 3x12-hour days, starting either at 0645 or 0900.

  • Schedule: 3x12 Days, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Must hold an active Alaska RN license, 2 years of OR experience, BLS certification required, ACLS and CNOR preferred, at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered, pending license accepted (must have license in hand for auto offer).
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) preferred.
  • Additional Requirements: Must have two recent references covering at least one year during the last three years, including charge or lead RN experience if applicable. Hepatitis B vaccination required.
  • Open to: No first-time travelers; no local candidates accepted; RTO (requested time off) approved on an individual basis and must be included in submittal.
  • Experience: 2 years of OR experience with diverse surgical procedures including but not limited to abdominal, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, neurological, and gynecological surgeries.
  • Patient Population: Neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics.
  • Operational Details: Will support a Magnet-level facility, Level II Trauma, with a daily census of approximately 40 patients, with sample surgeries spanning from routine to complex cases using advanced technology such as the Xi Robot and Mazor Robot.
  • Additional Job Details: Must be willing to work during major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). Orientation hours are not specified. Travel and housing arrangements are the responsibility of the traveler, with a maximum assignment duration of one year, after which a minimum six-month break is required for reassignment. Refer to the agencys policies regarding references and vaccinations.
