Description
Job Summary
Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) in Madison, WI. This position involves providing specialized pediatric surgical care in a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV NICU. The role requires experience with pediatric operating procedures and the ability to work in a fast-paced, specialized environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or a compact RN license, two years of recent acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty, Pediatric Operating Room (OR) experience, BLS certification through the American Heart Association, Kidney transplant experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric trauma experience, ambulatory surgery experience, pediatric emergency procedures, or related certifications.
- Call Requirements: One call shift every 6-8 weekends, one weeknight call from Monday to Thursday once a week, and holiday coverage as operationally needed.
- Additional Information: Travelers are required to float as needed. Minimum inpatient RN experience of two years in acute care. Strict pass/fail telemetric exams required prior to start, including adult and pediatric cardiac rhythm recognition.
