Description
Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse (RN) position in Saint Louis, Missouri. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care, performing comprehensive nursing assessments, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. The RN supervises ancillary staff and participates in discharge planning, ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes throughout the care continuum.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift, valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift (CIRH only), and a minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit or similar clinical setting.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, documenting assessments and interventions accurately and timely, participating in patient rehabilitation programs, initiating discharge planning from the day of admission, and providing patient and family education. The RN will also delegate tasks appropriately and contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication and problem-solving.
