Job Summary:
This operating room (OR) open heart (OH) position is located in Margate, Florida. It involves working within a CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) unit that specializes in procedures such as open heart surgeries, vascular, thoracic, and other surgical specialties. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position starts on 07/27/2026 and necessitates a commitment of at least 40 hours per week, primarily during day shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 07/27/2026
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications, demonstrate proficiency in charting, multitasking, critical thinking, and have an excellent bedside manner. A minimum of 2 years of current experience in an acute OR setting is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in all surgical service lines except CVOR (robotics, orthopedics, spine, gynecology), and familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system.
• Additional Information: The role involves split on-call duties dependent on staffing and rotating weekends may be required. The unit utilizes equipment such as Impella, ECMO, bypass pump, laser (lead extraction), EVH, and rapid transfuser.
• Responsibilities: The technician will scrub and assist in procedures including joint replacement, ENT, orthopedics, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery.
