Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) with specialized experience in endoscopy and gastrointestinal laboratories is sought for a position in Long Beach, California. This role involves providing patient care within the endoscopy and GI lab environment, performing procedures such as ERCP, EGD, PEGs, and scopes. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position requires working day shifts with varied start times, call coverage after hours, and participation in weekend call rotations.

Job Details:

• Location: Long Beach, California
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with start times between 07:00 and 10:00 depending on case schedule. Call shifts are required Monday through Friday from 15:00 to 07:00 and weekends from 07:00 to 07:00, with two required M-F call shifts per week and two weekend days per month. Shift hours are 8 hours per day with varied start times, and there is an expectation of call only coverage.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Candidates must have a minimum of two years of relevant experience. A BSN degree is required, and a valid license to submit is necessary.
• Preferred Qualifications: GI certification is preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • Floating is not required.
  • Floor-specific orientation will be provided for one week or until the candidate feels comfortable.
  • There is no in-house hospitalist or intensivist coverage; call after hours is required.
  • RT (Respiratory Therapy) support is available for some procedures, and pharmacy services are available 24/7.
  • The facility is an acute care setting with the trauma level classification unspecified.
