Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Floor (MS) RN position in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, offers an opportunity to work on a specialized unit with a focus on neurology and oncology patients. The role involves providing high-quality patient care within a Med Surg Stepdown setting. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day of orientation. This position requires a minimum of 12 months of Med Surg care experience and a current Iowa RN license. The work schedule is 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

- Required Qualifications: Current Iowa RN license; 24 months of current Med Surg/Oncology/Neurology experience; minimum of 12 months Med Surg care experience; BLS (AHA) certification; experience administering heparin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone; experience caring for neurology and oncology patients; 18 months of nursing experience in a hospital or medical center setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: NIH Stroke Scale certification (can be obtained during onboarding); professional reference from within the past 24 months.
- Additional Information: Employees will float between Med Surg and Stepdown units; must be flexible to work holiday shifts during Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day; EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system experience preferred; must adhere to unit dress code of navy or black solids; submission requirements include professional references and verification of current nursing license.
