Description

Job Summary:
A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) is needed in Portland, Oregon. This role involves providing specialized care to neonates, including those born at less than 24-28 weeks gestation, with a focus on complex procedures and interventions pertinent to Level III NICU standards. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position requires flexibility to float between sister facilities as necessary.

Job Details:

  • Location: Portland, OR
  • Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
  • Start Date: 08/03/2026
  • Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); 2 years of Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience or 1 year if specified in title/description; Epic charting system experience; Oregon license or pending license application; no minimum experience otherwise listed.
  • Preferred Qualifications: None listed.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required within the division to other nearby sister facilities.
  • Additional Information: Must have a vehicle for this assignment. Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby their contracted facility. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Candidates must have immunity or be vaccinated for COVID-19 and Flu vaccines.
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience; or 1 year if specified in title/description.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Patient Care: Care for neonates including advanced ventilator management, line care, dysrhythmia management, administration of surfactants, steroids, and management of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.
  • Additional Requirements: Applicants must include responses regarding previous employment at a Providence facility, and all requested scheduling (including RTO and holiday work) during the application process.
