Description
Job Summary:
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech in San Luis Obispo, California. This position involves supporting high-volume orthopedic, general, gynecology, pediatric, and eye cases in a busy operating suite. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of operating room experience, with travel experience preferred.

- Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), BLS Certification, valid license to submit, minimum of 2 years OR experience (experience required), and travel experience preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-volume orthopedic, general, gynecology, pediatric, or eye cases; experience with Cerner Surginet EMR preferred
- Call Requirement: 1 call night per week with a 30-minute response time
- Weekend Requirement: One weekend of call per month
- Holidays: Work only in emergencies
- Equipment Used: Autoclave (Steris & V-pro)
- Additional Information: Supportive of only emergency holiday work; no floating required; orientation depends on skillset
