Job Summary:
The Sacramento, California-based Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) position involves supporting a busy surgical unit specializing in orthopedic, neuro, robotics, and general surgery procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role entails working 8-hour shifts from Monday through Friday, with weekend call as needed, and requires proficiency to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Sacramento, California
- Specialty: Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician
- Schedule: 8 hour shifts Monday through Friday (0645-1515) plus weekend call as necessary. Call response time is 30 minutes.
- Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of related experience; active Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience; certifications and education relevant to surgical tech roles. Candidates must not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with the organization within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms will be considered.
- Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in all service lines, specifically Orthopedic, Neuro, Robotics, and General Surgery.
- Float: Float rotation may be required between main operating rooms and outpatient surgery. No floating to other facilities is expected.
- Additional Information: Candidates must submit two supervisory referencesone within the past 12 months and one within the past three yearsalong with a copy of their drivers license at submission. No scrub color or dress code information is specified.
