Job Summary:
The operating room (First Assistant) position is based in Shiloh, Illinois. This role involves supporting a variety of surgical procedures in an acute care hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience and offers a schedule of four ten-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with varying days off. The primary duties include assisting with surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic techniques, and supporting the surgical team with specialized equipment such as the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System.

• Required Qualifications: Certifications required include BLS (Basic Life Support) and CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room). Candidates must possess an IL license at the time of submittal or be eligible for a license match. Minimum of 0 years of experience expected, with at least 2 years of experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotic surgeries (e.g., Colorectal Robotic Surgery, Gynecologic robotic surgery, Urologic robotic surgery), and proficiency in extensive operative procedures including abdominal hysterectomy, arthroscopy, colon resection, and more.
• Float: Float to Memorial Belleville as needed within scope and service line.
• Additional Information: The role involves supporting a wide range of surgical procedures, including general, gynecologic, orthopedic, plastics, urology, ENT, bronchoscopy, and robotic surgeries. The primary location is at the Shiloh hospital, with staffing support at Belleville when necessary. The position includes on-call responsibilities, with one weekday night shift and every sixth weekend. COVID-19 vaccination is not required; the flu vaccine is mandatory unless medically or religiously exempt.
