Description
Job Summary:
A qualified Registered Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) care is sought for a Level 3 NICU position located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role involves providing direct patient care in a 31-bed unit, with the potential to float to pediatric or pediatric intensive care units as needed. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, with a schedule of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, minimum of 2 years of Level III NICU experience, experience in patient care, proficiency with EPIC computer charting and Pyxis medication administration, willingness to wait for license submission
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified
- Float: Float rotation may be required to pediatric or pediatric intensive care units
- Additional Information: Orientation will occur Monday through Friday of the first week and Monday through Tuesday of the second week, with 8-hour days. Mandatory attendance is required for all seven days of orientation. Non-billable orientation hours are 8 hours, and clinicians returning within 12 months of their last worked date will not be eligible for non-billable orientation.
