Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurses (RNs) in Tucson, Arizona are responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through comprehensive assessments, care planning, and patient education. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of orientation.
Job Details:
- Location: Tucson, AZ
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification prior to first shift, ACLS certification prior to first shift, minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience, ICU experience, proficiency in critical drug infusions including Propofol, Fentanyl, Levophed, Precedex, Versed, Rituximab, Vasopressin, and familiarity with ventilators and high-risk airways such as endotracheal tubes, as well as extensive wound care knowledge including wound vac experience. No minimum years of experience specified.
- Additional Information: The RN will perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develop and update individualized care plans, participate in team conferences, support discharge planning, and provide patient and family education. The role includes supervising ancillary staff, ensuring safety standards, and contributing to a positive team environment. Charge responsibilities may be assumed after orientation. Active participation in ongoing professional development is encouraged.
