Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) Nurse position is located in Laguna Hills, California. This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position requires a minimum of three years of clinical experience in operating room settings. The schedule consists of dayshift hours working 3x12-hour shifts, with rotating weekends, holidays, and weeknight call coverage.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 3x12s AM shifts, 0630-1900, with variable days and rotating weekends, holidays, and weeknight call; minimum hours per week: 36.0 hours.
• Required Qualifications: California license in hand, at least 3 years of OR experience, current BLS and ACLS certifications, proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system, and recent OR experience with complex surgical procedures listed in the skills section.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, experience with robotic surgeries, trauma level I or II experience, and familiarity with the specific procedures and certifications listed.
• Additional Information: This role involves floating within the hospital based on census, providing care for varied patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, in a unit that covers joint replacements, spine surgeries, robotic surgeries, and general surgical procedures like cholecystectomies, mastectomies, and cardiovascular surgeries. The environment emphasizes adherence to strict safety and procedural protocols, with training modules completed pre-start and during orientation.
