Description

Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) nursing position is based in Burlington, Vermont. This role involves rotating between day and evening schedules with off-shift options available. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and demonstrate the ability to scrub all general, surgical, trauma, thoracic, and vascular cases except cardiothoracic vascular (CVOR) cases. The position is suitable for experienced OR registered nurses (RNs) with prior travel experience, and candidates must have valid EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience within the past two years. The assignment duration is approximately 13-16 weeks.

  • Required Qualifications: Certifications, education, or degrees are not specified; candidates must have 0 years minimum experience, be licensed as an RN, and have at least 2 years of OR RN experience. Prior travel experience is required. Large trauma level 1 experience in a hospital with over 500 beds is essential. EPIC EMR experience from within the past 2 years is mandatory. Candidates should have circulate and scrub skills checklists in their packet and be able to scrub all specialties except CVOR cases. Ability to scrub all general surgeries, including GU, GYN, ENT, eyes, plastics, lap cases, trauma, thoracic, and vascular surgeries, is required.
  • Additional Information:
    • IVS to OFFER
    • No block schedules for any reason
    • Bi-weekly orientations scheduled on Mondays
    • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
    • Complete work history details (bed count, EMR system, facility type, etc.) are required for submission
    • Reliable transportation is strongly recommended as public transportation is not accessible in this area
