Job Summary:
The position of Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse Practitioner in Farmington, Connecticut, involves providing specialized outpatient ambulatory care within a medical oncology and hematology oncology unit. Candidates are required to bring their Connecticut license or a compact license on the first day. The role entails working 8-hour daytime shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no weekends, no on-call responsibilities, and no major holidays.

Job Details:

• Shift Time: 8 Hour Days, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
• Required Qualifications: Connecticut license or compact license on file at the time of submission; minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology outpatient care; prior travel experience; experience with oncology patients, outpatient ambulatory care, and outpatient clinics; ONS chemotherapy immunotherapy provider card.

• Additional Information: Candidates must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment, answer phone call triages, and problem solve to meet patient care needs while collaborating with the clinical team. The role may involve lifting and restraining patients and exposure to communicable diseases and potentially abusive clients. The position is within a coverage pool for medical and hematology oncology care. During the assignment, staff will be required to work additional hours as needed to ensure coverage, including mandatory overtime. No major holidays are required.
