Description

Job Summary:
The Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) exists in Burlington, Vermont. This assignment involves working in a cardiac progressive care stepdown tele/surgical unit for a duration of 13 to 16 weeks. The schedule is nights shifts, with a consistent weekly pattern. The role requires the candidate to be willing to float to similar units as needed.

Job Details:

Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications:
- Two years of clinical experience, including at least one year in a similar unit
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
- Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience within the past two years
- Large trauma level 1 experience in the last year
- Cardiothoracic and vascular experience required
- Post-operative one-day hearts open/closed experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Progressive Critical Care Nursing (PCCN) certification
Additional Information:
- This assignment is for 13-16 weeks starting from 07/27/2026
- No block schedules for any reason
- Bi-weekly orientations on Monday, next available is
- Must explain all employment gaps over 90 days
- Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type required for submission
- The position requires reliable transportation; public transportation is not accessible. Personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended; vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November to April.
