Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Nights Towson, Maryland. This position involves providing specialized care to post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including those who have undergone procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), mitral valve repair (MVR), and aortic valve replacement (AVR). The role requires immediate open heart post-operative experience and offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment centered on critical patient needs.

Job Details:

• Shift: Night shift, 3 days per week, 12 hours each shift (19:00-07:30), minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Maryland RN license, BLS, CPI, ACLS certifications; 2 years of ICU experience, including direct care of open heart patients immediately post-op. Valid MD or Compact license required.
• Preferred Qualifications: NIHSS, OCN, PALS, prior experience with cardiac patient management, ECMO, Impella, or CRRT procedures, experience with Epic charting system, community hospital or LTAC experience preferred.
• Additional Information: The role includes supporting multidisciplinary teams such as respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services. Candidates should be comfortable floating to Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) as needed. This position involves managing complex cardiac cases, including post-op open chest patients, and using specialized equipment like Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP), ECMO, and Impella technologies.
