Description

Job Summary:
The Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) profession in Miami, Florida, is seeking travel nurses for a six-week assignment starting on July 27, 2026. This role involves working in a 12-bed IMCU that manages ventilated, critically ill patients with multi-organ failure, including heart failure, respiratory failure, liver failure, and renal failure. The successful candidate must be able to independently care for high acuity patients, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and proficiency with pressors, cardiac drips, diuretics, anticoagulants, and sedatives.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour days shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Florida license or Compact license on file at time of submission; a minimum of 2 years of experience in a large Level I trauma facility; prior travel experience preferred; proficiency with high-acuity patient care; experience with pressors, cardiac drips, diuretics, anticoagulants, and sedatives.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a high-volume, Level I trauma or tertiary care hospital with ventilated, critically ill patients.
  • Additional Information: Must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and prior travel experience in a large, trauma-level facility. The assignment involves working in a fast-paced environment managing critically ill patients with complex medical needs.
