Description
Job Summary:
The Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Danville, Kentucky. This role involves delivering quality patient care by performing nursing assessments, developing individualized care plans, and supervising nursing staff. The RN is also responsible for patient education, discharge planning, and ensuring safety and compliance in a long-term care environment.
Job Details:
- Location: 217 South 3rd Street, 4th Floor, Danville, KY 40422
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 07/20/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS Certification required prior to first shift, ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only), minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in long-term care or geriatrics is highly desired
- Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments within 8 hours of admission, collaborate with interdisciplinary team for care planning, document all patient interactions accurately, participate in patient rehabilitation programs, initiate discharge planning and patient education, communicate effectively regarding patient status changes, supervise and delegate to ancillary staff, contribute to a positive work environment, maintain safety and compliance standards, and pursue ongoing professional development.
- Additional Information: The role requires the ability to provide calm direction and reassurance, participate in team-building activities, and effectively manage time and resources to meet patient needs.
