Job Summary:
The ICU Cardiovascular (ICU OH) registered nurse position is located in a state-of-the-art critical care unit specializing in adult cardiac patients. This role involves providing high-level, specialized critical care to patients recovering from cardiac surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG) and valve procedures. The position offers a 12-hour night shift with every other weekend work, and requires floating to step-down and medical-surgical units as necessary.

Job Details:

• Location: 1101 Nott Street, Schenectady, NY 12308
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM with a 30-minute unpaid break
• Schedule: Nights, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross, New York State license, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, including 1 year of specialty experience in cardiac surgery with skills in CABG surgeries, valve surgeries, Swans, and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP). Prior travel experience preferred but not required.
• Floating: Float rotation may be required to step-down and/or medical-surgical units.
• Additional Information: The role involves caring for critically ill adult patients immediately post-operation, with patients transferred directly from operating rooms to the ICU. No block scheduling will be approved. The vacancy begins on July 27, 2026, with the next orientation scheduled for August 31, 2026.
