Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) located in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, is seeking qualified Registered Nurses for night shifts. This role involves caring for adult patients with a range of diagnoses, including post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end-of-life, and chemotherapy patients. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic acute care environment, with self-scheduling options and a focus on excellent patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with weekend work as scheduled. Shifts include 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM for registered nurses, and 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM for certified nursing assistants.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing; willingness to wait for license submission; flexible for shifts and floating.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with post-surgical, orthopedic, chemotherapy, or hospice care is advantageous.
• Floating: Float rotation may be required to other medical-surgical units as needed.
• Additional Information:
  • The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:6-7.
  • The unit maintains two patient hallways classified as 'clean' and 'dirty,' and candidates must be comfortable caring for both types of patients at the same time.
  • Certification in BLS is the only required certification.
  • The unit uses Cerner charting system.
  • This position includes partial weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) and holiday rotation participation.
  • Digital telehealth monitoring is available remotely, with no monitors on this unit.
  • Nurses will receive orientation with a preceptor for one shift.
