Job Summary:
Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse (RN) in Iowa. This position involves providing care to voluntary patients in an inpatient substance abuse treatment facility for individuals aged 18 and older. The RN will perform clinical assessments such as CIWA (Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment) and COWS (Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale), conduct urine analyses, and maintain professional boundaries within a supportive environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Iowa, in a remote area, at a facility with 50 beds (20 female / 30 male).
• Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; 12 months of prior experience required.
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; must be available for weekdays and weekends as assigned.
• Additional Information: Shift includes night shifts with a nurse and technicians on duty; orientation will be 2-3 days of 12-hour training shifts until comfortable.
• Responsibilities include providing compassionate care, managing voluntary patients, and collaborating with on-call medical staff.
• Dress Code: Scrubs.
