Description

Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility located in New Mexico. This role involves providing comprehensive obstetrical care during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal phases. The RN will be responsible for delivering safe, patient-centered care with a focus on clinical excellence and team leadership in a fast-paced setting.

Job Details

  • Location: 2430 W Pierce Street, Carlsbad, NM 88220
  • Schedule: Days, 6:30 am 7:00 pm, floating required; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Start Date: 08/03/2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Number of Positions: 1
  • Required Qualifications: 2+ years of labor and delivery experience; Current certifications including ACLS, BLS, NRP, and STABLE; Valid state RN license; Flexibility to float across units as needed.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a high-volume obstetrical unit and familiarity with MedHost electronic medical record system.
  • Additional Information: The RN will provide nursing care to antepartum triage, active labor, postpartum (mother and baby), and nursery patients, including special care nursery babies. EMR systems used include MedHost (inpatient), GE Centricity (OB), and Athena (Clinic). The patient ratio is 1:1 for labor and delivery, 1:4 for postpartum care. Float rotation may be required. No call required. Compact and efficient team environment supporting obstetrical services.
