Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Douglas, Georgia. This position involves providing expert care to obstetric patients, including managing labor, delivery, and postpartum care in a 6-bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit. The role requires a proactive approach, leadership qualities, and the ability to adapt to patient needs, with some float to the Mother Baby unit when necessary.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evenings, 2:00 PM shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Candidates must have relevant experience, with a focus on obstetric, labor, and delivery care. No minimum years of experience specified.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience taking charge in labor and delivery settings.
• Additional Information: This role involves managing a high-volume birth setting with approximately 80-90 births per month. Charting is performed with Centricity, and medication administration is charted with Paragon. Ratios adhere to American Womens Health and Obstetric Nursing (AWHONN) standards. The facility does not require floating to other units, and candidates should be prepared for a schedule that may include every other weekend.
