Description

Job Summary:
The specialty of Mother/Baby Couplet Care Nurse is located in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and their newborns in a Level 2 nursery setting. The nurse will utilize professional nursing practices to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols.

Job Details:

  • Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holding a valid compact/multi-state license, 1-2 years of experience in a Level 2 nursery or equivalent, BSN preferred, BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association, NRP certification.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with mother/baby or postpartum nursing, excellent communication skills, ability to work under stress and manage emergency situations.
  • Additional Information: The nurse will work at a healthcare facility providing direct patient care in a mother/baby unit, with responsibilities including frequent patient interaction, assessment, and emergency response as needed. The role may require working weekends and holidays, with the possibility of floating to other facilities as per operational needs.
