Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse with Medical Surgical and Telemetry specialization in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves providing patient care on a Med/Surg/Telemetry unit that supports inpatient and emergency overflow areas. The position requires flexibility to float within multiple units and regions within the healthcare organization.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure in North Carolina, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 18 months experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing; no location requirement specified
- Preferred Qualifications: Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, Foley insertion/management), PCA pumps, medication gtt management including cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, and IVF; experience with EMR systems and telemetry monitoring is advantageous
- Float: Float rotation may be required across all units within scope at the healthcare provider's designated regions, including facilities in Charlotte, North Carolina, and surrounding areas
- Additional Information: Orientation includes two days of departmental training. The facility operates on a six-week cycle schedule, with every other weekend rotation. Many holidays will be worked, and up to 6 days off for RTO are negotiable, excluding holidays. Scrub color is navy, and parking is free.
