Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Clearlake, California. This role involves providing comprehensive care to women from childbirth through postpartum, as well as neonatal care for infants up to 28 days of age. The position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, primarily overnight from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse license; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least one-year labor and delivery experience; neonatal stabilization skills; experience with postpartum care is preferred; strong laboratory experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN) within six months of hire, recertified every two years; STABLE certification recommended; experience in neonatal resuscitation programs (NRP) and hospital conscious sedation preferred.
• Additional Information: The RN will administer and control narcotics and medications, manage IV fluids, and perform patient assessments tailored to the patients age and developmental status. The role requires frequent patient transfers, use of medical equipment, and adherence to safety and confidentiality standards. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in emergency procedures and effective communication within the care team.
