Description

Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Oncology Floor nurse position is located in San Francisco, California. This role involves providing specialized care in a medical-surgical oncology unit, supporting patients with cancer and related conditions. The position requires rotating 12-hour shifts and offers a dynamic environment focusing on comprehensive patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) License, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), minimum of 2 years inpatient oncology experience, Chemotherapy certification from Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC). Completion of references must be available at submission.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification, previous experience with bone marrow transplant (BMT).
  • Certifications: BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), OCN, ACLS
  • Additional Information: This position requires the ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed. Prior experience with inpatient oncology, chemotherapy administration, port care, blood and blood product management, and management of oncologic emergencies is essential. Modular educational components are non-billable and included in non-billable hours. Orientation begins at 4:00 pm Pacific Standard Time on the Monday before the start date.
