Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position available in the region. The role involves working within a community hospital setting at a Level 2 specialty unit that provides maternal and newborn care. The position is scheduled for night shifts, with a weekly minimum of 36 hours, starting on 07/13/2026. The RN will perform duties aligned with industry standards, including labor, postpartum, and nursery care, supporting a diverse patient population in a welcoming community setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association; at least 2 years of experience with cervical exams, infant delivery, postpartum care, and nursery experience in a level 2 nursery or higher; educational requirements include an ADN or BSN degree; must practice in a community hospital setting with a regional mission.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with fetal monitoring, stabilization of a neonate, trouble-shooting high-acuity situations, and good triage assessment skills.
- Additional Information: The unit comprises 17 beds with two triage rooms, with patient ratios following AWHONN standards, approximately 75 deliveries per month. Equipment includes fetal monitors, ISTAT, and Freestyle. The Electronic Health Record system utilized is Cerner and Fetalink. The RN will work on labor and postpartum units specializing in adult and newborn care.
