Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry registered nurse (RN) position is located in Portland, Maine. This role involves providing patient care on IMC and Med/Surg units, requiring the ability to float between units as needed. The position focuses on respiratory and medical telemetry patients, with an emphasis on teamwork, flexibility, and patient-centered care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 07/19/2026
• Required Qualifications: Licensed RN with 1-2 years of experience, BLS certification, Ventilator experience for IMC RNs, experience with tracheostomy care and telemetry strips, minimum 1 year of clinical experience, located in Maine
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with respiratory and acute medical conditions such as sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, respiratory failure, and failure to thrive. Strong teamwork, flexibility, good communication skills, and patient-centered care approach.
• Additional Information: IMC RNs may float to other IMC levels of care units within the facility; RNs will float to med/surg units as needed. Floating decisions are based on unit need and skill set. Specific equipment used includes ventilators, BiPaP, CPAP, epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, and VAC dressings.
• Unit Information: 43 beds; patient ratios of 1:4-5 for day shift Med/Surg, 1:5-6 for night shift Med/Surg, and 3:1 for IMC.
• Dress Code: Scrubs (no logos or unprofessional clothing).
• Willingness to review clinicians with pending state license and rehiring past staff is preferred.
