Job Summary
Medical Surgical With Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse in Yakima, Washington. This role involves providing patient care within a community hospital setting, primarily focusing on adult post-surgical, stroke, oncology, CHF, COPD, respiratory, GI, ortho, and COVID patients. The position offers a dynamic environment with diverse patient needs and opportunities for clinical growth.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); candidates must pass a telehealth exam during compliance. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification is preferred but not required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a general medical-surgical setting with telemetry is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric and psychiatric patient populations, as well as skills in managing chest tubes, trachs, PICC/midlines/central lines, Foley catheters, NG tubes, dressing changes, wound vacs, ostomies, and telemetry monitoring.
• Additional Information: The facility requires flexibility to care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, with rare assignments to total care or CNA roles. EMR system used is Epic. The position involves floating across multiple units including 2 East and West, 3 East and West, 5th floor, and Emergency Room.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Scrub Color: Any solid color, no graphics or designs.
