Job Summary:
This opportunity is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Open Heart procedures at a healthcare facility in Iowa City, Iowa. The position involves performing scrubbing duties in a cardiovascular operating room setting, with a focus on adult cardiac surgery including cardiothoracic, peripheral vascular, and transplant cases. The RN will work primarily during night shifts and be involved in complex surgical procedures requiring specialized skills.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; at least 2 years of strong cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) nursing experience; scrubbing experience in cardiac surgeries including adult open heart, or scrubbing skills checklist demonstrating expertise in assisting with heart surgeries; experience in large level 1 or level 2 trauma settings; proficiency in OR scrubbing skills checklist must be included in submittal packet.
